VALLI - The Union for Senior Services

VALLI - The Union for Senior Services is a Finnish organisation for the elderly, established in 1953, which interacts closely with its member associations. The Union also promotes the interests of its member associations and provides resources for development.
The Union has 65 member associations, which produce services for about 20,000 old people annually. The member associations employ about 1,000 people.
The majority of the services of the Union's member associations are offered directly to people's homes and facilitate living at home. The Union's home service operations annually cater for nearly 5,000 customers.

Research of stakeholder management in Valli member associations

Research from the development challenges of stakeholder management in Valli member associations was made in December 2010. The research was conducted by Pirjo Puhakka from Efetto Ltd. as a part of her Master of Business Administration (MBA) examination in Henley Business School in the University of Reading, UK.
The aim of the research was to clarify stakeholder management and development in Valli member associations and to recognize strengths and possibilities of the stakeholders in development of the Valli Resource Center model. Altogether 11 organizations from 65 Valli member associations participated in the survey. Four different respondent groups were included; directors, members of the management team, managers and others (with specification). Read more about Puhakka's research.
