The Association for Old Age and Neighbour Service
The Association for Old Age and Neighbour Service is a Finnish organisation for the elderly, established in 1953, which interacts closely with its member associations. The Association also promotes the interests of its member associations and provides resources for development. The Association has 65 member associations, which produce services for about 20,000 old people annually. The member associations employ about 1,000 people. The majority of the services of the Association’s member associations are offered directly to people’s homes and facilitate living at home. The Association’s home service operations annually cater for nearly 5,000 customers.
